Bowling Green, KY – After a strong opening week at the plate,
Johnboy Rittenhouse has been named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
Rittenhouse helped power No. 6-ranked Cumberlands to a 4-0 start to the season, hitting .500 (7-for-14) across four wins. The Scottsville, VA native belted a pair of home runs and drove in nine runs to anchor the Patriots' offense during the opening week.
Rittenhouse recorded two three-hit performances and added two games with three RBIs, consistently delivering in key moments for UC. His production played a key role in the Patriots unbeaten start and early-season success.
The honor marks Rittenhouse's first Mid-South Conference weekly award of the season.
