ATLANTA, GA – The Patriots women's track & field team continued their outdoor season Saturday with strong performances split between the Emory Spring Break Classic and the Charlotte 49er Classic. UC's day was highlighted by a school record performance and multiple top finishes.
Emory Spring Break Classic
MaQuoia Raglin delivered the top performance of the day for Cumberlands, breaking the school record in the 100-meter dash. Raglin qualified through the rounds and placed seventh in the finals with a time of 11.87, finishing just 0.02 seconds shy of the NAIA standard.
Raglin opened the day by placing second in the qualifying round in 12.01 before advancing through the prelims with a time of 11.94.
In the long jump,
Abia Kante recorded a runner-up finish with a mark of 5.70 meters (18-8.50).
On the track,
Allie Bryson competed in the 100m qualifying round, running 12.51, while
Lillian Guzman placed 13th in the 100m prelims with a time of 12.21. In the 400 meters,
Lennon Little crossed in 1:01.36.
Charlotte 49er Classic
In distance action,
Kayleigh Burkhead led the Patriots in the 800 meters with a time of 2:33.24, recording a personal best.
Baylee Black followed with a time of 2:43.13.
Cumberlands will return to action next weekend as the Patriots travel to Raleigh, North Carolina to compete in the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State.
