Williamsburg, KY – The No. 12 University of the Cumberlands women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance Wednesday afternoon, sweeping Campbellsville 7-0 at the UC Tennis Complex. 

Cumberlands set the tone early by capturing the doubles point with victories in all three matches. Marina Nagai and Bryndis Rosa finished first at No. 3 doubles with a commanding 6-0 win over Valentina Curli and Ekaterina Amosova. Victoria Zarate and Haruna Kojima followed with a 6-4 victory at No. 2 doubles against Belen Cavallero and Evdokiia Volkova to clinch the doubles point. Mahiro Hara and YuFang Liu completed the sweep at No. 1 doubles with a 6-3 win over Miho Akita and Juanita Quintero. 

The Patriots continued their strong showing in singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Marina Nagai was first off the court at No. 1 singles with a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win over Belen Cavallero. Victoria Zarate followed with a 6-1, 6-4 victory against Valentina Curli at No. 2 singles, while Bryndis Rosa added another point with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Jimena Palomo at No. 3 singles. 

Mahiro Hara earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory against Miho Akita at No. 4 singles to extend the Patriots' lead. YuFang Liu picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win over Andrea Pulido at No. 6 singles before Haruna Kojima closed out the match with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Evdokiia Volkova at No. 5 singles. 

The Patriots are back on the court on Monday, March 30, where they will travel to No. 2 Lindsey Wilson for a ranked conference matchup. The first serve is slated for 1:00 PM.
