RALEIGH, N.C. – The University of the Cumberlands women's track & field team continued competition Friday with athletes competing at both the Raleigh Relays and the Marian Knight Open, highlighted by national standards and strong performances across the board.
Raleigh Relays
At one of the premier meets in the country,
MaQuoia Raglin led the Patriots in the 100 meters, clocking a time of 11.96.
Lillian Guzman also competed in the event, posting a time of 12.28. In the 400 meters,
Lennon Little recorded a time of 1:01.52.
Marian Knight Open
Cumberlands dominated the 5000-meter race walk, sweeping the top three spots while all three athletes hit national standards.
Heather Durrant led the way with a winning time of 24:46.13, hitting the NAIA A standard and currently ranking second in the NAIA this season.
Lilian Bittencourt followed in second with a time of 27:54.51, hitting the NAIA B standard and ranking third nationally.
Lucy Sullivan placed third in 29:20.05, also hitting the NAIA B standard and ranking seventh in the NAIA.
The Patriots will return for the final day of the Raleigh Relays tomorrow and will also be competing at the Blue Raider Rumble at Lindsey Wilson.
