GAINESVILLE, FL – UC's women's track & field team opened competition Thursday at the 2026 NAIA Indoor National Championships, highlighted by a Distance Medley Relay qualification to the finals. All events contested on day one were preliminary rounds, with finals scheduled later in the week.
The Patriots' top performance of the day came in the Distance Medley Relay. The quartet of
Alex Cundiff,
Lennon Little,
Caroline Cronen, and
Lea Kunstmann clocked 12:05.96 to finish fourth overall, qualifying for the championship final. Cundiff opened the relay in the 1200m before handing off to Little for the 400m. Cronen carried the 800m leg, and Kunstmann anchored the mile to secure a spot in the final.
The 4x400-meter relay of
Lillian Guzman,
Ritorion Vigne,
Abia Kante, and
MaQuoia Raglin posted a time of 3:54.54 to place 15th overall in the prelims.
In the 4x800-meter relay, the team of
Megan Kitchens,
Grace Nelson,
Elisa Helferich, and
Hope Boa ran 9:34.98 to finish 22nd overall..
Cumberlands will return to action Friday with the finals of the racewalk and the long jump, along with other preliminary races.
