Elkhart, IN – The Patriots women's swimming & diving team posted five NAIA All-American performances and a pair of school records to highlight the third day of competition at the NAIA Championships Friday night.  Cumberlands head into the final day in third place with 287 points.
 
It was another incredible performance from freshman Bella Hoare, this time in the 400 IM.  Hoare clocked a 4:26.46, which is the second fastest time in program history to place fourth overall.  Helena Jarosz dropped over five seconds off her prelim time clocking a 4:35.66 to place tenth and also notched the seventh fastest time in program history.  .  Alicja Sedlak utilized a late surge to finish 11^th with a time of 4:37.32. 

Cumberlands had a quartet of swimmers score in the 100 breast.  Megan Schoenlein led the way for the Patriots swimming a new school record time of 1:03.58 to finish third.  That time broke the school record that was set in 2009.  Celin Ullern followed with a career-best time of 1:04.39, which is the third fastest time in program history, to finish fifth.   Lauren Cox touched the wall in 1:05.96 to place tenth, while Moa Nyblom finished 15^th with a time of 1:06.95. 

Ugne Takuseviciute garnered All-American honors in the 200 free.  The sophomore notched a 1:52.63 to place fifth overall in the final.

In the 100 fly, Sarah Zoellner pulled away from the field and touched the wall in 55.73 to win the consolation final. 

In the final event of the night, the 400 medley relay, the Patriots notched a fourth place finish.  Zoellner led off the relay with a 58.00, while Schoenlein split a 1:03.29.  Hoare split a 57.01 during the fly leg, while Takuseviciute anchored with a 51.58 as Cumberlands clocked a 3:49.88 to capture All-American honors. 
 
The Patriots return to the water Saturday, March 7^th, for the final day of competition at the NAIA Championship.  Prelims are at 9 a.m. with finals beginning at 5 p.m.  Fans can catch all the action from Elkhart, IN here.
