Bowling Green, KY – The 2-Seed University of the Cumberlands women's tennis team continued its postseason surge on Saturday, earning a 4-0 sweep over 3-Seed Cumberland (Tenn.) in the Mid-South Conference Semifinals at the Warren County Tennis Facility. With the win, the Patriots improve to 15-4 on the season and advance to the MSC Championship match. 

Cumberlands once again set the tone in doubles play, securing the opening point with wins on courts one and two. The duo of Mahiro Hara and YuFang Liu cruised to a 6-0 victory at #1 doubles, while Victoria Zarate and Haruna Kojima followed with a strong 6-2 win at #2 doubles. The #3 doubles match featuring Marina Nagai and Bryndis Rosa was left unfinished with Cumberland holding a 5-2 edge when play was halted. 

In singles competition, the Patriots delivered another dominant showing, capturing three straight-set wins to clinch the match. Marina Nagai led the way with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at #1 singles, while Haruna Kojima added a 6-2, 6-1 win at #4. Mahiro Hara pushed Cumberlands to the brink with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at #5 singles. 

The remaining matches were stopped once the team result was decided, with Bryndis Rosa, Victoria Zarate, and YuFang Liu all in competitive positions in their respective courts. 

With the win, Cumberlands advances on to the Mid-South Conference Championship Match where they will face the 1-Seed Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) at 12:00 PM CT.
