Trio of Patriots Captured All-Around Archer of the Year Honors

Lansing, MI – The Cumberlands archery team notched a successful season that included a trio of national runner-up finishes.  Highlighting this year's success were Chase White, Ayla Mills and Jackson Ratajczak, who earned Collegiate All-Around Archer of the Year.
 
It marks the second straight year that Cumberlands swept the fixed pins All-Around Archers of the Year and the first time since 2024 that UC had a trio of archers garner this honor.
 
A fantastic freshman season leads to White capturing All-Around Archer of the Year in the men's barebow division.  The Warrensburg, IL native accumulated six points and a trio of podium finishes to garner this honor. White opened the season capturing the 3D national title after carding a 381. The freshman broke the school record and was the second UC archer to capture a 3D title.  White followed that up carding a 1035 with 29 ten's to capture a national runner-up finish with the second best qualification score in program history.  At outdoor nationals, the freshman carded a program record 603 points en route to qualifying third in the men's barebow division.  White closed out nationals with the bronze medal for his third individual podium finish.
 
Mills capped off an incredible season garnering the women's fixed pins All-Around Archer of the Year. The sophomore qualified in the top five at all three championships, including capturing her first individual podium finish.  The Grand Junction, CO native opened the season carding a 400 to qualify fourth at USA 3D Nationals.  Mills followed that up carding an 1180 to qualify third, earning her first individual podium finish of her career.  The sophomore capped off the season carding a 670 to qualify second during Outdoor Nationals qualification, clinching the women's fixed pins All-Around Archer of the Year. In addition to her individual success, Mills was also part of five team rounds that notched podium finishes, including a trio of national title. This marks the sixth straight year that a Patriot archer as garnered All-Around Archer of the Year in the women's fixed pins division.
 
A pair of national runner-up finishes leads to Ratajczak earning All-Around Archer of the Year in the men's fixed pins division.  The Grand Rapids, MI native accumulated 11 points and a pair of podium finishes to garner this honor. Ratajczak opened the season capturing a runner-up finish at 3D nationals after carding a 463.  The sophomore followed that up with his second consecutive national runner-up finish this time at indoor nationals with a score of 1,193. Ratajczak closed out the season carding a 674 to qualify seventh at outdoor nationals clinch this honor.  In addition to his individual success, Ratajczak was part of a trio of national champions team rounds for Cumberlands.
