Bowling Green, KY – After being a pivotal part in Cumberlands posting a national runner-up finish at the Collegiate Target Nationals, Patriot archers Aiden Woodie and Lanie Nish have been named the Mid-South Conference Archers of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday.

Woodie recorded his first Archer of the Week honor after recording a trio of podium finishes, including a pair of national titles.  The freshman opened Outdoor Nationals carding a 683 with 39 ten's to qualify second in the men's fixed pins division.  Woodie followed that up going a perfect 6-0, including defeating James Brown of Texas A&M 145-139 in the gold medal match to capture his first individual national title.  He partnered with Joseph West and Bennett Schuler in the men's fixed pins team division.  The trio went 3-0, winning all three matches by at least eight points, including a 211-203 victory over Texas A&M in the gold medal match for his second national title.  Woodie capped of the week with a national runner-up finish in the mixed fixed pins division.  He teamed with Ayla Mills and the duo won three matches before earning the silver medal.

Nish garnered her third weekly accolade after a trio of podium finishes.  The sophomore opened the week tallying a 684 to qualify third in the women's compound division.  She followed that up winning her first three matches, including two in one-arrow shoot-offs to reach the quarterfinals.  Nish posted a 139-134 win over Emalee Wooldrige, before knocking off Sydney Sullenberger 144-140 in the semifinals to reach the finals for the second straight year.  Nish closed out the tournament as the national runner-up for her second straight individual podium finish at Outdoor Nationals. In addition to her individual success, Nish was part of UC's women's compound team that posted a national runner-up finish after a 2-1 mark.  She closed out the week partnering with Landon Standish as the duo notched a third-place finish.
