Kansas City, MO – After qualifying for their eighth consecutive NAIA National Tournament, the Cumberlands men's lacrosse team closes out its 2026 campaign ranked eighth in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, released by the national office Thursday.  UC tallied 34 points and finished the season with a 9-8 record.
 
The Patriots posted four wins over teams that were ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, including a 17-7 win over (RV) Life in the quarterfinals of the AAC Tournament.  UC finished the year ranked second the NAIA with an 86.3% clear percentage on the season, while there 63.3% shots on goal percentage was fourth in the country.  Cumberlands averaged 13.94 goals per game on the year.
 
UC has utilized a balanced attack this season with four players netting at least 20 goals on the year. Anchoring the Patriots offense was veterans Will Rogers and Dom Lulow.  Rogers tallied 45 goals, 25 assists, and 70 points. He is the career leader in goals (164), assists (110), and points (274).  Lulow tallied a team-best 31 assists and 72 points to close out his career with 107 goals and 80 assists.  Freshman Nathan Cook tallied 44 goals, while Caden Abbott has notched 25 goals and 24 assists.

Ty Grooms repeated as a NAIA First Team All-American after scooping 63 ground balls and  posting a 52.0% faceoff win percentage.  Kuwese Walker the AAC Second Team All-Conference selection has 29 caused turnovers along with 35 ground balls.  JD Cook closed out the year with 108  saves and a 55.1% save percentage.
 
Keiser earned all six first-place votes and 60 points to be ranked atop the poll, while Madonna is ranked second.  SCAD, William Penn, and Reinhardt round out the top-five.
