Kansas City, MO - After advancing to the NAIA National Championship Quarterfinals for the second consecutive season, the University of the Cumberlands men's tennis team remained ranked No. 7 in the final 2026 NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll with 168 points.
The Patriots closed out the season with a 17-9 overall record while continuing to establish themselves among the NAIA's top programs. Cumberlands earned its second straight trip to the national quarterfinals after opening the NAIA National Championships with a dominant 4-0 sweep over No. 9 Holy Cross.
The Patriots secured the doubles point behind victories from the tandems of Darius Kuster and Gabriele Solda at No. 2 doubles and Manuel Fernandez Guede and Kesia Roi at No. 3 doubles. In singles action, Thibaud Vivier, Mohammed Abuzed Saber, and Solda each earned straight-set wins to clinch the quarterfinal berth.
Cumberlands' postseason run came to an end in the national quarterfinals against top-seeded Georgia Gwinnett. Roi earned the Patriots' lone team point with a commanding 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles, while several other matches remained competitive before the Grizzlies secured the deciding point.
The Patriots finished the season with 17 victories, an MSC Tournament Runner-Up finish, and back-to-back appearances in the NAIA National Championship Quarterfinals.
