Williamsburg, KY – The Cumberlands archery team posted 25 podium finishes, including 13 conference titles en route to capturing the Mid-South Conference 3D Championship, Saturday afternoon at the UC All-Purpose Field.  The Patriots scored 241 points, which is the second most in conference history, to win the first of three legs in determining the overall conference champion.
It marks the tenth consecutive MSC 3D crown for the Patriots.

The Patriots opened the day with 13 podium finishes from the individual shootdowns, highlighted by four conference champions.  Nico Powell (men's barebow), Maria Nunez Montes (women's recurve), Hannah Summers (women's fixed pins), and Chloe McElroy (women's compound) finished atop the podium in their respective divisions.

Powell tallied the Pats first individual title of the day.  The freshman carded a 12 in the fourth end to move atop the standings before closing out with a 58.   Ludvig Rohlin notched a 54 to place third, while Chase White finished fifth.

Nunez Montes entered today as the top-seed and jumped out to the early advantage behind consecutive 12's.  The freshman added two additional bonus rings to card a 68 and capture the conference title.  Sheridan Weaver scored 46 points to place third, while Alina Distelberg edged out Lydia Haskamp in a one-arrow shoot-off for fourth place.

UC had four of the top-five finishers in the women's fixed pins division.  Summers hit a pair of bonus rings to go along with four ten's en route to 64 points and the conference title. Odessa Cornick tallied 60 points to earn a runner-up finish, while Ayla Mills placed fourth with 56 points. 

The Patriots added three of the top four finishers in the women's compound division.  McElroy captured her first individual conference title scoring 66 points on the day.  The sophomore opened with three straight ten's before closing out with three consecutive 12's.  Lanie Nish notched a runner-up finish with 64 points, while Savanah Hoffman placed fourth with 58 points.

UC notched a pair of podium finishes in the men's fixed pins division.  Bennett Schuler achieved a pair of bonus rings en route to 59 points and a runner-up finish.  Jackson Ratajczak won a one-arrow shoot-off to secure third place and a spot on the podium. 

Zachaery Neilson notched a runner-up finish in the men's compound division after carding 60 points.  Owen Fromader earned a fourth-place finish, scoring five points for UC.

Jack Schollmeyer was UC's lone archer in the men's recurve division.  The freshman opened with a 12 and scored pointers to earn the silver medal. 

Reagan Van Dy led a trio of Patriots in the women's barebow division.  Van Dy tallied 35 points to earn third place, while Isabell Lehsten earned fourth place.

UC captured six conference title during team rounds and three titles in mixed team rounds.

The trio of Schollmeyer,  Jack Justice, and Keaton Starks earned a 183-160 win over Pikeville to capture gold in the men's recurve team rounds. 

Cumberlands notched a 2-0 record en route to the conference title in the women's recurve division.  Nunez Montes, Weaver and Distelberg opened with a 174-134 win over Lindsey Wilson, before posting a 170-157 victory over Midway in the championship match.

The duo of Schollmeyer and Nunez Motes teamed up to go 2-0 winning both matches by double digits en route to capturing the mixed barebow title. 

In the men's barebow division, Rohlin, White, and Nicolas Powell defeated Campbellsville 178-118 in the semifinals.  The trio followed that up with a 153-141 win over Lindsey to capture gold.

Rohlin and Van Dy cruised to the mixed barebow title, including a 130-89 victory over Lindsey Wilson in the gold medal match.

In the men's fixed pins team rounds, the trio of Ratajczak, Schuler, and Braydon Roberts posted an 184-170 win over Campbellsville in the semifinals.  In the gold medal match, the trio won a one-arrow shoot-off to finish atop the podium.

The trio of Mills, Cornick, and Summers won their two matches by a combined 51 points en route to capturing gold in the women's fixed pins division. 

Nish, Hoffman, and McElroy posted a 2-0 record, including a 192-177 victory over Union Commonwealth, to earn gold in the women's compound team rounds.

The duo of Nish and Neilson teamed up to capture gold in the mixed compound division.  The pair went 2-0 with a 136-132 win over Union Commonwealth in the bronze medal match.

UC men's compound team and mixed fixed pins team posted a runner-up finish, while the Patriots women's barebow team placed third.

Cumberlands will return to the range October 15-17, when they travel to Foley, AL to compete at USA 3D Nationals.
