As a senior (2021)... Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete... MSC Academic All-Conference... Earned a season of 3.34 ERA with 22 strikeouts and a 6-6 record overall... Whelan appeared in 17 games for the Patriots with 56.2 innings pitched... Six times Whelan threw five or more innings while giving up just one earned run or less... She had a season high five strikeouts against Brescia on 03/04/21.

Prior to Cumberlands (2016-2020)... Whelan competed for the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders compiling a career ERA of 2.75, recording 50 strikeouts, 137.2 innings pitched with a career record if 18-1 with one save... As a hitter, Whelan had a career batting average of .424 with 33 hits including seven doubles and nine RBI... Named a CoSIDA Academic Second Team All-American in 2020... Three time MSC Academic All-Conference winner.
