Jordan Doole will begin his second season as the Pitching Coach for the Patriots.
2025- Cumberlands finished with a 50-12 record, winning the Mid-South Conference Regular Season Title, NAIA Opening Round (Williamsburg Bracket), and won two games at the Avista NAIA World Series for the first time in program history.
Additionally, the pitching staff set records in several statistical categories. Kailen Hamson broke the single season strikeout record at UC with (127) and is fourth in program history in career strikeouts with (206). Knicko Billings recorded 91.1 innings pitched in a single season, second most in program history, and is tied for second in career wins with (27). JD Price broke the single season appearance program record with (27) while also recording (10) saves. Jake Kmiecik also moved into 3rd all time in appearances (61) & 4th all time in career wins (21) at UC.
The pitching staff finished 3rd nationally in Wins (50), 4th in Innings Pitched (491.1), 3rd in strikeouts (558), 4th in K/BB Ratio (3.08), 8th in K/9 (10.22), 9th in WHIP (1.37), and T-3rd in Saves (16). The Patriots had three NAIA All-Americans, six MSC First-Team All-Conference selections, two Second-Team All-Conference selections, and two gold gloves. Patriot pitchers also took home MSC Pitcher of the Week Honors 8 times. Charlie Muniz led the NAIA in home runs (36) and runs batted in (96) and was the first Patriot to be named NAIA Player of the Year and MSC Player of the Year, while Hamson garnered MSC Pitcher of the Year honors.
Kailen Hamson was selected in the MLB Draft in the 8th Round with the 244th pick by the Baltimore Orioles, and became the highest draft pick in program history. Charlie Muniz also signed a professional contract in the Atlantic League with the Lexington Legends.
Coach Doole arrived at Cumberlands after graduating with a Masters in Sports Management from Texas A&M in 2024. He spent the 2024 season as a member of the Texas A&M Baseball staff, serving as an Operations and Analytics intern. The Texas Aggies concluded the season with the best season in school history with an overall record of (53-15), winning the College Station Regional & Super Regional. The Aggies also finished the season in Omaha as the National Runner Up.
After the season, Coach Doole served as the Pitching Coach for the Full Count Rhythm of the Prospect League in the summer of 2024.
Prior to his time at Texas A&M, Coach Doole was the Pitching Coach for his alma mater Patrick Henry High School in San Diego, CA for two seasons. Under his tutelage, the pitching staff helped contribute to two league titles, as well as a Section Championship Runner-Up and State Semifinals Finish. The pitching staff also finished with a school record 1.95 ERA in 2023.
In 2022, he founded Workhorse Baseball, a growing baseball business that offers online coaching, private training, and prospect videos. He started Workhorse while finishing up his Bachelor’s degree at UC San Diego and coaching travel baseball.
Coach Doole also has spent time working at both the Texas Baseball Ranch in Montgomery, TX and Tread Athletics in Pineville, NC. He has mentored a number of players who have gone on to play collegiately and professionally.
Coach Doole played at Patrick Henry High School in San Diego, and was 2018 Team MVP and Pitcher of the Year. He was also a First-Team All League selection.
