Campbell Abbott just completed his third season with the Patriots and his second as the Director of Football Operations and assistant linebacker coach after getting promoted in January 2023.  Coach Abbott spend the 2022 season as an offensive graduate assistant with the Patriots.

In Abbott's third season, the Patriots went 5-5 and 2-4 in MSC action. he defense help opponents to 24.2 ppg and accumulated 28 sacks ont he season. Linebacker Adam Caudle led the team in tackles, moving into the All-Time record books for his performance over the last four seasons, and was also Abbott's only linebacker to earn All-Conference honors this season. Abbott and the Patriots defeated 24th ranked Lindsey Wilson for the first time since 2013.

In his second season, Abbott helped lead UC to a 6-4 record, including a ranked win over #14 Reinhardt 20-19. Cumberlands finished the year with 16 interceptions, which ranks 15th in the NAIA. UC was also top-15 in the NAIA in penalties. The Patriots had nine All-Conference selections, including Job Matossian (x2), Kendall Adams-Young, and Malik Thornton on the First-Team. 

Prior to UC, Abbott spent the 2021 season at Shorter University in Rome, GA, as an Offensive Graduate Assistant.  Coach Abbott worked as a student assistant for two years after playing football as an offensive lineman on the Georgetown College football team. 

When coming to the Patriots, Abbott reconnected with Coach Housekeeper who not only coached Abbott at Georgetown College, he mentored him as the Offensive Graduate Assistant at UC.  Housekeper said, "Campbell's dedication to the UC Football program and his willingness to grow and develop, will be huge assets to the future of our program."

As the Director of Football Operations, Abbott will be responsible for organizing team travel, coaching individual position group(s), and managing day to day communications among other task.  Coach Abbott's experience and strong work ethic are priceless characteristics that will greatly benefit the Patriots.
