Jeff Love is entering his first season as the tight ends and running backs coach for the Patriots after being hired in the spring of 2022.
"I'm excited to add Jeff to our coaching staff," said Coach Housekeeper. "He brings a different level of experiences both on the field and off the field and his depth of knowledge and ability to relate to the players is going to help elevate our program to the next level."
Love brings an extensive coaching background to Williamsburg that includes nearly 20 years of coaching experiences. He spent the past three years at the high school level serving as the Head Coach at Oasis Charter High School and the Associate Head Coach at Riverdale High School. Prior to that, Love spent three years at the University of Kansas, where he spent two years as the Director of Football Technology. In 2018, Love became the first Video Director in college football history to be promoted to an assistant coach in the middle of the season as he served as the quarterbacks coach for the Jayhawks.
Prior to Kansas, Love spent five years at FCS Houston Baptist University working with the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and safeties. Love got his start in coaching in 2001 as an undergraduate football assistant at the University of Central Florida, before serving as the video coordinator at Washington State, the University of Nevada, and the University of Kansas. Love's work during those stops earned him multiple accolades including being featured in a Sports Illustrated article discussing how he utilized drones for practice at Kansas.Â
Love is married to his wife Antoinette, and the couple has two kids Cameron (9) and Anthony (6).Â
