Callum Pilgrim is entering her first season as a softball assistant coach, joining the staff in July of 2021. Pilgrim coordinates the UC outfield defense and assists with the hitters, recruiting, and opponent scouting.
She arrives in Williamsburg as one of the top players in the history of the Mid-South Conference. A 2019 graduate from Lindsey Wilson, Pilgrim was instrumental in the Blue Raiders winning three MSC Championships including both the regular and conference title in 2019. She earned All-American status twice in her career and was a four time First Team All-Conference player as both an outfielder and infielder.
In 2016, Pilgrim took home the MSC Freshman of the Year honor boasting a .406 batting average, notching 82 hits, the second most in Lindsey Wilson's history. She finished her career as the 2019 MSC Player of the Year with a career batting average of .384, leading Lindsey Wilson to the NAIA World Series. The British Columbia, Canada native appears as the top statistical leader for the Blue Raiders record book seven times including career runs (212), career hits (290), career doubles (60), single season stolen bases and attempts (38-41), and career stolen bases and attempts (105-112). Â
Most recently, Pilgrim was an alternate for the Canadian National Team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics who won the bronze medal, Canada's first ever medal in softball. She has been a part of Team Canada since 2015 and was on the Canadian Wild of Southern Illinois in the National Pro Fastpitch League in 2019. Â
Pilgrim earned her undergraduate degree from Lindsey Wilson College where she majored in K-12 Physical Education & Health with minor in Communication. She is currently pursing a Master's of Executive MBA from Cumberlands.
