Cumberlands has won at least 20+ wins in each of the past three years, including compiling a 26-10 record during the 2023-24 season.  Coach Evans helped guide the Patriots to a 26-10 record, advancing to the MSC Championship game, before they won four straight games during the NAIA Tournament to win the Duer Quadrant and advance to the Fab Four for the first time in program history.  It also marked the first time UC hosted the NAIA Opening Round, where they compiled a 2-0 record to advance to the NAIA Final Site.

Coach Evans has been key member of the coaching staff that has seen eight players garner MSC First Team All-Conference accolades and has had 14 MSC All-Conference selections. In addition, he has played a major part in recruiting and defensive game planning that helped the Pats elevate to the next level.

In addition to his coach duties, Coach Evans is also a professor in the English Department at UC.
