Krystal Evans is entering her sixth season on the staff after joining the coaching staff for the 2020-21 season.  Coach Evans was promoted to Associate Head Coach for the Patriots in July 2024.  

Evans joined the Patriots coaching staff during the 2020-21 season and has helped guide UC to 84-37 overall record, including a 47-23 mark in conference play.  UC has won 20+ games in each of the past four season and has qualified for the NAIA National Tournament for five consecutive seasons. 

Cumberlands set a program record during the 2022-23 season when notched 16 conference wins, which was the most conference wins in program history. Cumberlands recorded a 26-10 record last season to earn a host berth for the First and Second Round of the NAIA Tournament, before winning the Duer Quadrant and advancing to the Fab Four for the first time.

Coach Evans has been key member of the coaching staff that has seen five players garner MSC First Team All-Conference accolades and has had 11 MSC All-Conference selections. In addition, she has played a major part in recruiting, securing key players that helped the Pats elevate to the next level. 

Prior to UC, Coach Evans spent five years as the Head Coach at Lincoln Memorial University, where she guided the Railsplitters to the SAC Tournament finals twice.  Coach Evans led Lincoln Memorial to their first SAC regular season championship during the 2016-17 school year and advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament, which was their first tournament appearance since 2003.
