Coach Jordan Nicholson is entering her second as an assistant coach with the Patriots after joining UC in the summer of 2021.
Nicholson helped lead Cumberlands to an 18-3 record during the 2022 season, including a 6-0 mark en route to capturing the Mid-South Conference North Division title. The Patriots tallied seven wins over teams that were ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Poll. Samuel helped UC qualify for the fourth straight NAIA tournament and have been ranked in the top-three of the NAIA all season. Nicholson worked with MSC Player of the Year and the MSC Defensive Player of the Year, while Cumberlands had seven all-conference selections.
Prior to UC, Nicholson, a Ontario, Canada native, spent for years playing at NCAA DII Chowan. There she played midfield and defense for the Hawks, Nicholson started all 3 games she played in recording 69 ground balls and 43 caused turnovers over her career.
Nicholson excelled in the classroom at Chowan, graduating in May 2021 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. She earned numerous academic accolades including being named to the Conference Carolina Presidential Honor Roll, NCAA DII ADA Academic Achievement Award, and being part of the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad.

Nicholson is currently pursuing her MBA at Cumberlands.
