Coach Tatiana Samuel is entering her first season as the assistant coach with the Patriots after joining the Patriots in summer of 2019.
Prior to joining UC, Samuel, a Houston, TX native, spent four years playing at NCAA DII Montevallo. While playing defense for the Falcons, Samuel played in 68 games with 57 starts. Samuel also scooped 128 ground balls and caused 56 turnovers over her four year career.
"I'm thankful for the opportunity to learn and gather coaching expertise from Coach Buikus," said Samuel, "She's done amazing things here at the Cumberlands, and I can't wait to assist in the growth of this talented team!"
Samuel excelled in the classroom at University of Montevallo, graduating in 2019 with a degree in Business and earned numerous accolades including Silver Scholar on the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll and was a member of the Gulf South Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll.
Samuel is currently pursuing her MBA at Cumberlands.
