After transitioning from player to coach in January of 2022 when he became an Assistant women’s soccer coach, Drewery made a lasting impact on the program’s most successful run. Drewery spent five years at the University of the Cumberlands on the men’s soccer team. During his time here he lead the team to three National Tournament appearances and an MSC Championship. He leaves the program as the first-five time MSC All-Conference honoree, all-time assist leader (44), and the all-time caps leader (92).
He brought his experience to the women’s pitch this year and helped the team advance to their third straight NAIA Final Site appearance. The Patriots advanced to the Semi-final round for the first time in program history during the 2022 season. With his experience and championship mindset, Drewery contributed to the team’s 18-2-3 overall record against the league’s top-ranked opponents.
The former player is excited to use his experience and successes to help coach new and current athletes. Drewery hopes to lead the team to a national tournament victory later this year.
Drewery graduated in the Spring of 2022 with a bachelor’s in exercise and sports science. He is currently pursuing his graduate degree in business.
