Tara Currie earned women's athlete of the week honors after recording four podium finishes and notching all-region honors.  After qualifying fifth, Currie notched a 137-123 win over Catelynn McKnight of Pikeville before defeating teammates Samantha Rayburn and Brooke Miller to advance to the championship match.  In the gold medal match, Currie knocked off third-seed Hannah Lane of Union to take top honors.   She was also part of the UC women’s compound team that earned a bronze medal at the region.  Currie performance earned her All-Region accolades.  She followed that up with picking up a pair of bronze medals at the MSC Outdoor Championships. After notching a bronze with the women’s compound team, Currie won her first two matches before falling in the semifinals.  She rebounded with a 137-134 win over Lane in the bronze medal match.
