Alexander Poulsen earned athlete of the week honors after a record setting performance against DePauw. The freshman broke three school records, six pool records, and hit NAIA cuts in six events. Poulsen opened the week clocking a 19.94 for the 50 free, breaking the school record and hold the top NAIA time of the season. He also won the 100 free with a time of 44.49, which ranks second in the NAIA. In addition to his individual success, Poulsen was vital on all four Patriot relays that broke the pool record, while the 200 free relay (1:21.43) and the 400 free relay (2:59.07) also broke the school record. UC currently holds the top relay time in the NAIA in three different events.
