Alexis Medina earned athlete of the week honors after capturing the Mid-South Conference title at the 116 lbs. weight class.  The sophomore, who entered the tournament ranked tenth in the NAIA, need just 56 seconds earn her first win of the tournament as she earned a fall over Bailey Jones of Siena Heights.  Medina followed that up with a 10-0 tech fall over 18^th-ranked Jamesa Robinson of Brewton-Parker to advance to the championship match.  Facing 11^th-ranked Emma Jones in the title match, Medina notched a four-point takedown in the first period and added six points in the second period before earning a fall at the 5:27 mark to claim the title.  Medina closed out the tournament 3-0 and outscored her opponents 29-4 to be one of four Patriot wrestlers to win a conference title.
