Amber Gainer earned athlete of the week honors after having a strong week both offensively and defensively.  The junior went 7-16 with a team-best nine run scored and three RBI.  She opened the week, going 2-3 with a pair of runs scored in the win over Union. She added a hit and at least one run scored in each of the first three games against Georgetown.  Gainer blasted a solo home run in the series opener, while in game two recorded a trio of putouts, including a double play and leaping grab in the sixth inning.  Gainer capped of the series going 2-3 with three runs scored, including a solo homer in sixth inning as part of back-to-back shots with Carly Oliver to help UC extend their win streak to 19 straight.
