Katie Gomez earned athlete of the month honors after notching a 9-0 record in the month with seven tech falls and outscoring her opponents 85-6.  Gomez made her Patriot debut at the NWCA National Duals where she went 4-0 with three tech falls.  The freshman recorded back-to-back 10-0 tech falls before facing fourth-ranked Rose Kaplan (Indiana Tech), where she earned the 14-2 tech fall.  Gomez closed out the tournament with a 6-2 decision over #7 Olivia Messerly of Campbellsville. At the Warrior Open, Gomez tallied four tech falls en route to 5-0 record capturing the 124 lbs title. Gomez notched four consecutive tech falls outscoring her opponents 42-2 to reach the finals.  There she squared off with third-ranked Joanna Vanderewood (William Penn) and tallied a 3-0 decision for her final win of the month.
