Williamsburg, KY – Jaclyn Berry,
Amanda Phillips, and
Samantha Tullar each netted five goals en route to a 17-4 win over Columbia Thursday night at James H. Taylor, II Stadium. With the win the Patriots improve to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in AAC play, while the Kolas move to 4-5 and 4-2 in conference play.

Amanda Phillips for a goal 20 seconds into the contest. The two teams traded goals before Tullar connected with
Jaclyn Berry for a goal to give UC's advantage 3-1 ten minutes into the first half.
Angelica Makoski dished out back-to-back assists to Tullar and Hudson to extend the lead to 5-1. Less than a minute later
Emily Heim forced a Kolas turnover, Berry scooped the ground ball and netted a goal. UC scored seven of the next eight goals, include three from Tullar and a pair from Phillips to give the Patriots a 13-2 lead at the break.
Tullar and Berry connected on a man-up goal to start the second half. Columbia netted back-to-back goals over a nine minute span to cut the lead to 14-4 with 8:25 left. Berry converted a free position goal, while Phillips scored twice for the 17-4 final.
Leading the way for the Patriots was Tullar who record five goals, three assists, seven ground balls and four caused turnovers. Phillips recorded a career-high five goals and seven points, while Makoski dished out three assists. Heim forced three Kolas turnovers and scooped three draw controls.
Emily Crump and
Emily Cabrera combined for eight saves in the win.
The Patriots will return to the field Wednesday, March 14, when they travel to Florida to face ninth-ranked Keiser. The game is slated for 3 p.m.
