NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll
 
Kansas City, MO – After consecutive wins over ranked opponents, the UC women's soccer team has jumped into the NAIA Top 25 Poll this week, receiving 181 votes to be ranked 18th. This is tied for the highest the Patriots have been ranked since 1999, when they were ninth in the NAIA. Cumberlands has notched a 10-1-1 record, and an undefeated conference record, most recently defeating then 19th-ranked Cumberland.

Leading the Patriots attack are Naira Lopez and Alba Lorca. Lopez leads the team in goals and points, tallying eight and 18, respectively. Lopez also scored the game-winning goal in the overtime match against Cumberland, who is receiving votes in his week's poll. Lorca sits right behind, notching four goals and 12 points on the season.

On the defensive end, UC is backed by Nicole Panis saving 36 shots this season and holding opponents to less than a goal per game, on average. Also on the backline is sophomore Jenna Rockwell, who has played an integral in completing seven shutout victories this season.

The Patriots are one of two new teams in this week's Top 25, with MidAmerican Nazarene ranked 20th. UC has improved to 2-1-1 against ranked opponents this season.

Keiser sits at the top of the poll for the second week, with 494 points and 13 first-place votes. William Carey earned a second place ranking with 486 votes and the remaining five first-place votes. University of Northwestern Ohio, Southeastern, and Central Methodist round out the top five, tallying 486, 466, and 436 votes, respectively. One other Mid-South program is ranked in the Top 25 this week as Lindsey Wilson dropping from fifth to eighth with 388 votes. Cumberland and Campbellsville are both receiving votes after being dropped from the Top 25.

UC returns to action when they travel to Columbia, KY on October 26 to face the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders. Kickoff is set for 8:00pm. Live stats are available here, while live video is available here.
