Bowling Green, KY – The Patriot Women's Golf wrapped up their fall season this past week at the Dalton State Roadrunner Invitational. With a runner-up finish as a team, one Patriot lady paced her team over the three-day event and ended up with another high finish for the fall. For her efforts, she was awarded this week by the Mid-South Conference.

Patriot junior Carlee Shoemaker was named the MSC Women's Golfer of the Week award, conference officials announced on Monday. It is the second consecutive weekly honor of the season for Shoemaker and the fourth of her career.

Shoemaker had one of the more impressive weeks at the Roadrunner Invitational. Over the three-round event, she was tied at the top of the field with total number of birdies sank at eight and number of pars sank at 37. Shoemaker opened the tournament with a 77 but would improve each round after with a 76 and a 74 for a final total of 227 (+11), which was just four shots off the winning score.

The ladies will return to the links in the spring once UC's season has resumed.
