Bowling Green, KY – The University of the Cumberlands volleyball team continues to shine in the classroom in addition to on the court as 11 student-athletes garner Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference honors, announced by the conference office Tuesday. The Patriots 11 honoree are tied for the third most for any school in the conference with Cumberland and Georgetown.

Lily Chapman,
Leah Crist,
Abbie Genders,
Mackenzie Koch, Olivia Pearcey,
Rachel Scott,
Ashley Sobocinski,
Jennifer Stein,
Olivia Verdecchia, and
Anna Zuniga were the students-athletes that received this honor.
It is the third straight year that Koch has earned this distinction, while Carpenter, Crist, Stein, and Zuniga have been named to the team twice.
There were 87 student-athletes from across the MSC who were named academic all-conference. To be nominated for this award, each student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least one year at a college or university.
The Patriots return to action at the Mid-South Conference Championships on Thursday, November 14 at Bowling Green Arena. The Patriots, who earned the sixth-seed in the tournament will face third-seed Georgetown in the quarterfinals at 4 p.m. EST.
