Williamsburg, KY – University of the Cumberlands softball looks to continue five busy days of action as the squad has six more games slated this weekend. The Patriots will battle Lawrence Tech, Union and West Virginia Tech in the Cumberlands/Union Classic, beginning Friday.
 
UC goes into the weekend's classic hot off a two-game sweep over Midway, winning 5-3 and 6-2 respectively on Wednesday. Cumberlands will take on both Lawrence Tech and Union with a game apiece on both day one and two, followed by a doubleheader against West Virginia Tech on Sunday.

Cumberlands has won their previous three appearances against AAC-foe Union, getting an 8-6 win last March the last time around. The Patriots will see the Bulldogs on Friday evening following the Blue Devils-match and will go head-to-head with the Bulldogs on Saturday.
 
UC holds a 16-2 record over the heads of West Virginia Tech, but have not seen the Golden Bears on the diamond since 2012 when the Patriots won 5-4. The doubleheader against the blue and gold will be on Sunday, March 3 at 1:00 and 3:00 PM.
 
The first pitch of the classic is slated for 12:00 PM as Union and Lawrence match-up to begin the nine-game weekend. Live stats for the entire tournament can be found here, while all games will be live streamed on the UC Sports Network's portal.
