McDermott, OH – The UC Men's Golf team took to the course today at Elks Country Club with 36 holes to play as they competed for the Mid-South Conference Spring Tournament Championship. Showing consistency throughout the day, UC finished both the first and final rounds in fourth place of eight competing teams.
 
The Patriots turned in a team score of 300 (+12) on the par 72 course in the first round followed by a 294 (+6) in the final round for a two-round score of 594 (+18). Tournament champions Campbellsville University finished 18 shots ahead of UC after posting a two-round score of 576 (E). Lindsey Wilson would finish second followed by Cumberland University (TN) in third while Georgetown College finished two shots behind Cumberlands to round out the top five.
 
Francesco Guarneri led the way for the Patriots with rounds of 75 and 72 for a total of 147 (+3) to finish tied for tenth place overall out of 44 competing players. Nolan Schrand finished in 14^th place after rounds of 75 and 74 gave him a tournament score of 149 (+5). Logan Conn posted a first round 76 and a final round 75 to total a score of 151 (+7) to finish tied for 18^th place overall. With an opening round of 74 and a final round of 78, Will Molen would card a total score of 152 (+8) to finish tied for 21^st place. Finally, Agustin Aranki finished tied for 26^th place after carding scores of 80 in round one and 73 in the final round for a grand total of 153 (+9).
 
Lindsey Wilson's Callum Blinkhorn carded back-to-back rounds of 66 to earn the tournament's Medalist honors with a score of 132 (-12).
 
The Patriots return to action on Monday, April 29^th through Wednesday, April 31^st as they will compete in the three-round Mid-South Conference Championships in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
