Bowling Green, KY – Max Emerson claimed the first Mid-South Conference weekly award of his career on Monday, adding Wrestler of the Week to his resume.
 
The senior out of LaGrange, KY recorded the fastest pin in the Patriots' MSC opener against Midway. After making the first and only takedown of the 184 bout, Emerson noted the pin after 1:40 of action.
 
The win by fall was his fifth of the season as he now stands with 10 wins overall. He also notes three decisions and a major.
 
Emerson follows three other Patriots earning the weekly honor (Jacob McNutt, Bryce Nickel, Tres Leon), tying Lindsey Wilson with four recognitions in 2019-2020.
 
The Patriots resume MSC action tomorrow, January 28 on the road at new-member Thomas More. The dual against the Saints begins at 7 PM in Crestview Hills, KY.
