Bowling Green, KY – Patriots senior archer Sara Sherman saved her best 3D performance for last as she has been named the Mid-South Conference Women's Shooter of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday. This is Sherman's first weekly honor of her career.

At the USA Archery 3D National Championship, Sherman was on target, connecting with 17 bonus rings to finish with a 40 target score of 422 to win by 13 points.  That score earned Sherman her first individual national title but also set UC's school record by ten points set by Courtnie Carr in 2018.

Sherman's success didn't end there as she teamed with Madison Cox and Kaitlyn Shields to earn gold in the women's bowhunter team event.  The trio combined to shoot 1228 to capture the national championship.

The Marysville, PA native capped off the championship teaming with Elliott Cross in the mixed bowhunter division. The duo recorded a score of 852 to win Sherman's third national title of the weekend.

Sherman's performance was instrumental in the Patriots capturing their third straight USA 3D national championship and the tenth championship in program history.

The Patriots will return to action in January as they turn their attention to indoor season.
