Bowling Green, KY – The third-ranked University of the Cumberlands women's swimming & diving team had eight student-athletes earn Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference accolades, announced by the conference office Tuesday.  The Patriots seven honorees were the second most by any team in the conference.

Casandra Bock, Houston Burgoon, Nicole Ceausu, Mendy De Rooi, Amy Hedrick, Yuliia Hnidenko, Rebecca Loftus, and Cameron Klimczak were the Patriots that earned this distinction. It marks the third straight year that Ceausu has earned this distinction while Bock, De Rooi, and Klimczak have earned it twice.

There were 44 student-athletes from across the MSC who were named academic all-conference. To be nominated for this award, each student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least one year at a college or university.

The Patriots return to the water Thursday, February 6, as they travel to Kingsport, TN to take part in the Mid-South Conference Championships. UC is looking to capture their sixth straight Mid-South Conference Championship. Live video of the finals and diving will be available here.
