Howell was successful on both sides of the ball making a great play in center field to keep Warner off the board just as she entered into the game. The sophomore scored the only run of the game with a solo home run that ricocheted off of the scoreboard.

The biggest scoring opportunity for UC came in the top of the sixth inning. Maddie Sickau roped a ball to left field. She was able to move over to second base thanks to Meryn Livingston hitting a ball hard to the short stop causing an error. Madison Huber followed that up with hard hit ball to third base that Sickau was able to out run loading the bases. All three would be left on base and the team would total seven runners left on base.

With the bases full of Cumberlands players thanks to a hit by batter, a single and a walk Jasper stepped into the box looking to earn her ninth RBI of the year. The Georgetown, KY native sent a hard hit ball to the third baseman that tried to throw out Taylor Green, but a rushed play caused the catcher to drop the ball and let a run score. Stephenson would continue the rally hitting her own ball to the third baseman earning a single.

UC extended their lead off an RBI double from Haverland that scored Howell from first base. The lead would quickly dwindle after Warner had a rally of their own earing six runs off six hits and one error.
