The UC women's bowling team competed in the MSC Thomas Burris Memorial event in Louisville for their second tournament of the weekend. This event mirrored Saturday with five individual games followed by 12 baker style games. The Patriots finished the day in 11
th place out of 19 teams.
Cumberlands tallied 4483 total pins through 5 individual games for an average of 896.6 pins per game. UC sat in eighth place after the five games.
Mickayla Shannon led the Patriots in the individual games, knocking over a total of 999 pins averaging just under 200 pins a game. Shannon knocked over 247 pins in the second game of the day, her highest for the tournament, and earned a 15
th place finish.
Allysen Coryell also had a good day placing 29
th overall, hitting 947 pins over her five games.
UC came out slower in the baker games knocking over 2145 pins through 12 games. Their best baker game was game three where they knocked over 224 pins. This gave the Patriots a total of 6628 pins on the day for an 11
th place finish.
Webber International finished with a score of 7696 for a first-place finish. MSC foe Pikeville came in second followed by SCAD Savannah with 7476 and 7440 pins respectively. St. Francis and Tennessee Southern rounded out the top five finishers in Louisville on the weekend.
The Patriots will get back to the lanes on November 6
th and 7
th as they travel to Marietta, GA for the Brunswick Southern Collegiate Classic.
