Henderson, TN- Riley Barrett's first goals of her career helps to push the #17 Patriots past Freed Hardeman University on Thursday in Henderson, TN. The 3-0 win gives Cumberlands their first conference win of the season.

UC was on the attack early. Just two minutes into the game, Riley Barrett notched the first goal of her career. The goal came from deep outside the box and gave the Patriots a 1-0 lead early.  Cumberlands would continue to put pressure on the Lions defense. Throughout the first 45 minutes of play, UC fired 15 shots with 6 of them being on frame. The Patriots extended their lead later in the first half off of a corner kick. Makayla Ousley sent a set piece into the box in the 29^th minute that Jenna Rockwell connected with and headed into the back of the net. The goal was Rockwell's second of the season.

Cumberlands offense carried the moment in the second half. Within the first ten minutes of play the Patriots fired four shots towards the Lions goal. UC would continue to fire shot after shot towards Freed Hardeman's goal. Cumberlands finally managed to find the back of the net again in the 77^th minute of the match. Riley Barrett tallied her second goal of the game, as well as the second goal of her career. Throughout the match UC fired off 32 shots with 14 of the being on frame.

The win gives the Patriots a 1-3-1 record in Mid-South Conference play, as they approach the midpoint of the conference season.

Cumberlands will be back in action in Tennessee this Saturday when they travel down to Bethel University. Kickoff in McKenzie, TN is slated for 5:30 PM and the match can be live streamed here.
