CoSIDA Academic All-Region List

Williamsburg, KY –
As the Patriots continue their playoff push, a pair of players are getting it done on the field and in the classroom. Both Liam Healey and Tommaso Ogliari earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® First Team, as announced on Thursday. This marks the first time either of them have garnered the award.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District® team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Cumberlands is in District 2, which features schools from Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. To be eligible for this award a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.30.  They also have played in at least 50% of its team's games as well as be a contributor on the field.

Healey is a two-time MSC All Conference player earning second team both seasons. He currently has nine assists this year, for the second most on the team. The Manchester, England native has also tallied two goals for 13 total points, third most on the squad.

Ogliari garnered his first MSC All-Conference accolade this season, placing on the Honorable Mention list. The outside back has dished out five assists, for fourth most on the team giving him five points this season. He has also been on the field for four of the team's shutouts helping them hold opposing teams to 12.2 shots per game.

Both student-athletes were dubbed MSC Academic All-Conference this season which was Ogliari's first year of eligibility while Healey earned his second Academic All-Conference honor. Healey is studying Psychology while Ogliari is a Business Administration major.

This marks the second straight year at least one Patriot took home the honor, with Sergio Infantes Castell winning the award a season ago.

Since Healey and Ogliari both earned First Team Academic All-District honors they advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be announced in early December.

Cumberlands will face the Regular Season MSC Champions in the Championship game in Bowling Green, KY on Friday, November 12 at 2:30PM ET. The livestream for the match can be found here.
