Campbellsville, KY- The 18th-ranked Cumberlands women's soccer team knocked off third-seeded and 14th-ranked Campbellsville 3-0 to advance to the Mid-South Conference tournament semifinals for the third straight year Friday night.

The Patriots improve to 14-4-1 on the year, while Campbellsville falls to 13-4. UC outshot the Tigers in the match 14 to 11.

The Patriots got off to a hot start, scoring within the first five minutes of the match. In the fourth minute Rylee Hardley set up for a corner kick on the left side of the field. On the cross, Jayden Boelter headed the ball to her feet and set the ball into the lower left corner of the net.

UC continued to put pressure on the Tigers goalie. In the 19th minute of the match Laura Navajas Marin steals the ball from a Campbellsville midfielder and takes the ball 60 yards up the field. Navajas crosses the ball from the edge of the goalie box to a wide open Jenna Rockwell who nutmegs the goalie to give Cumberlands a 2-0 lead.

The beginning of the second half was pretty evenly matched. Both teams tallied multiple shots within the first 20 minutes of the second half but neither team could find the back of the net.

In the 80th minute of the match, Navajas once again steals the ball from a Tigers midfielder and takes the up the field. From the right edge of the goalie box, Navajas crossed the ball to a wide open Boelter who used one touch to fire the ball into the back of the net.
