Five Patriots Earn MSC All-Conference Honors

Bowling Green, KY- The Cumberlands women's soccer team placed five athletes on the Mid-South Conference All-Conference teams, announced by conference officials on Tuesday. Every Patriot athlete that was named to the All-Conference teams garnered All-Conference honors last season as well.

Jayden Boelter is the leading goal scorer for the Patriots this season. Her 17 goals on the year helped her earn MSC First-Team All-Conference for the second straight season. Boelter's 17 goals on the year ties her for fifth all-time for single season goals in the UC Women's Soccer record book. Of the goals she has tallied this season, seven of them have been game winning goals, ranking her tied for fifth in the NAIA. The freshman's 35 points ranks her fifth in the MSC. Boelter has tallied multi-goal games four times this season.

Laura Navajas Marin garnered Second-Team All-Conference honors, making her a three-time All-Conference player. Navajas is one of the main distributors for the UC offense, assisting on 10 goals this season. The junior has also tallied five goals on the season, including two game-winning goals Reinhardt and Georgia Gwinnett. Navajas has 32 total career assists which places her second all-time in the Cumberlands record books.

Senior Jenna Rockwell was named to a Mid-South Conference All-Conference team for the third time in her career. Garnering Honorable Mention honors, Rockwell has really stepped up for the UC offense in the second half of the season. The London, KY native has tallied nine goals on the season, including two multi-goal games against Georgetown and Pikeville.

Selena Barnett earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors, which marks the third time in her career that she has made an All-Conference team. Barnett is also one of the key facilitators for the Patriots, using her speed to push the ball past the opposing team's defenders to create chances for her teammates. The junior has tallied one goal and seven assists on the year, which matches the most assists she's had in a single season at UC.

Laura Vogt also earned MSC Honorable Mention honors. Vogt has been excellent in goal for the Patriots all season. She has tallied 33 total saves on the year while only giving up four goals. Vogt's .892 save percentage ranks seventh amongst all goalies in the NAIA. The Aesch, Switzerland native completed seven total shut outs on the year, including two shutouts in the opening round and quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference tournament that led to her earning MSC defensive player of the week.

Lindsey Wilson had the most athletes receive All-Conference honors, placing nine on the three teams. Campbellsville was right behind the Blue Raiders, with eight athletes earning All-Conference honors.

Cumberlands is set to compete in the semifinals of the MSC tournament on tomorrow against Lindsey Wilson. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM EST in Bowling Green, KY at Warren Central High School. Live streaming of the match can be found here.
