Bowling Green, KY – Four days after capture their ninth straight MSC championship, the second-ranked UC swimming & diving team lead the way with 13 Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference selections, announced by the conference office Wednesday.  It marks the third straight year that UC has lead the conference.

Maria Basto, Houston Burgoon, Kayana Cook, Mendy de Rooi, Gianna DeCello, Yuliia Hnidenko, Izzy Jackson, Cameron Klimczak, Rebecca Loftus, Allison Lovell, Jami Margolen, Sara Overly, Hanne te Velthuis and Leah Thomas were the 13 Patriot swimmers to earn this distinction.  It marks the third straight year that de Rooi and Klimczaak have earned this distinction, while Burgoon and Hnindeko have earned it twice. 

In addition to taking home the team title, Cumberlands had 38 swimmers earn MSC All-Conference honors while de Rooi was named MSC Swimmer of the Year for the third straight year.  22 of UC's conference champions came from swimmers that earned this honor.

The MSC honored the 61 swimmers from across the conference earned this honor. To be nominated for this award, each student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least one year at a college or university.
