NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll

Kansas City, MO – Cumberlands won over voters in their first two games of the season, helping them to a top-25 ranking in Monday's poll. The Patriots claimed the #17 slot in the first poll of the season, earning 137 points.  
 
Morningside, defending national champions and boasting an 8-0 record after fall competition, took first in the poll, followed by Marian. Five Mid-South Conference schools made the 25-team cut, led by Bluegrass rivals Lindsey Wilson at fourth. Keiser is ranked sixth, while Reinhardt hold the tenth spot with 264 points.  Cumberlands and Georgetown, who is ranked 19^th, round out the Bluegrass division schools on the list.
 
The Patriots have gone 1-1 to open the season including this weekend's win over Cumberland. Over the stretch, the Patriots have outscored their opponents 62 to 39. The offense has averaged over 400 yards per game, balancing out their rushing and passing attack.
 
Cumberlands has a short break before returning to action on Friday against Bluegrass Divisional rival Lindsey Wilson. The team travels to Columbia, KY for their first road contest of the season against the Blue Raiders, who are 1-0 on the season.
 
Visiting fans will not be permitted at the stadium. Fans can tune into the game via the Lindsey Wilson Sports Network for live video. In addition, EZ Country (WEZJ-FM 104.3) and CBS Sports Radio (WAIN-AM 1270, WAIN-FM 101.9) will be broadcasting to their local markets.
