Lexington, KY - The #15 ranked Patriots men's team continues to remain undefeated on the year as they posted yet another dominant 7-0 performance, their third straight sweep of the season, against Arizona Christian University Saturday evening. With the win, the Patriots men's team moves to 4-0 on the season overall.

Martin Barbier, who remains undefeated in singles this season, started off in the #1 spot with the hot hand as he was able to take down Anthonoy Popyrin in just two sets at 6-4, 6-2 to give UC the early 1-0 lead. Martin Muller and Luis Montull were up next at the #2 and #3 singles spots where they defeated Jose Dominguez and Andres Vasquez 6-2, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-2 respectively. Now having the 3-0 match lead heading into #4 singles, Mattis Le Montagner was able to overcome a first-set loss and battle back to take the three-set win over Jonas Wand at 3-6, 6-2, 10-2. Eric Banoub finished off singles play at the #5 spot with his win over Leon Olivier at 6-4, 6-1, and Robert Wu Hung-Ju snagged a win by forfeit to give UC the 6-0 lead heading into doubles play. 

Cumberlands continued the impressive performance by sweeping all of doubles play as well. Barbier and Banoub played aggressively against Popryin and Olivier and were able to take the #1 doubles match at 7-5 with Montull and Montagner following in #2 doubles grabbing a 6-4 win against Dominguez and Vasquez. Muller and Wu Hung-Ju won their #3 doubles match by forfeit to complete the 7-0 shutout against Arizona Christian University

UC returns to the court on Thursday, March 4 to faceoff against Grace College in Williamsburg, KY at the UC Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 2:00 PM.
