Bracket and Team Results

Bowling Green, KY - The Patriots women's bowling team dropped their quarterfinals matchup with Campbellsville and were eliminated from the Mid-South Conference Tournament on Saturday in Bowling green. The final four loss for Cumberlands means the team finishes the event in fourth place. 
 
The Patriots sent eight bowlers to compete at this year's conference tournament. Kiara Abanto, Allysen Coryell, Megan Kelly, Haleigh Lawwell, ReighAnn Oliphant, Mickayla Shannon, Erika Taylor, and Kerrigan Welch all competed for UC. 
 
During their best of seven series against Campbellsville, the Patriots fell behind three games to none. Despite the deficit, UC was able to notch scores of 194, 174, and 232 pins to win three straight games and force a seventh and decisive match. In game seven, the Tigers took the win after they recorded a score of 238 pins to Cumberlands 233 pins. Campbellsville will advance to the semifinals where they'll meet Pikeville. 
 
UC clinched a final four appearance on Saturday after they defeated Union and Tennessee Wesleyan on Friday. The Patriots beat Union in seven games and easily swept Tennessee Wesleyan in four games. 
 
Their elimination on Saturday means the Patriots will need to receive an at-large bid in the NAIA Tournament, or their season will come to an end.
