Williamsburg, KY –  With his first MSC men's tennis player of the week honor, Martin Muller took home the award for the Patriots after he posted dominant performances against Campbellsville, Bethel, and Freed-Hardeman. This now marks the fourth week in a row that a UC men's tennis player has won the award.

Over the course of the week, Muller had great performances in every single one of his matches as he went 3-0 in #2 singles play, while never allowing a third set in any of the matches, and also posted a 2-0 record with Robert Wu Hung-Ju at #3 doubles. Following the three wins this week, Cumberlands improves their undefeated streak to 10-0 overall and 3-0 in MSC play

In the Patriots first matchup of the week against the Campbellsville Tigers, Muller was able to defeat Matus Sevick in the #2 singles spot at 6-4, 6-2, and then win his #3 doubles match with Wu Hung-Ju versus Mario Sanchez and Grayson Cullen at 6-3. Two days later, Muller would continue his hot streak as had yet another commanding two-set win against Joao Andre at 6-2, 6-0, and then win his last #3 doubles match of the week with Wu Hung-Ju as they defeated Joao Pedro Okano and Jeffrey Lee at 6-0. In his last match of the week, Muller resumed his stellar play against Freed-Hardeman as he blew past Julian Lopez in two sets at 6-0, 6-4, which kept his record perfect for the week at 5-0.

The Patriots will return to the court on Thursday, March 25 to take on Georgetown at the UC Tennis Complex in Williamsburg, KY. First serve is set for 3:00 PM.
