Crestview Hills, KY – To close out the regular season, the Patriots defeated Thomas More 2-0 for their fifth straight win. This marks back-to-back shutouts for Cumberlands, their sixth one on the season. The team's regular season record is 8-5-2 with a 8-2-1 conference record marking their best win percentage in conference play since 2010-11 when they went 6-2-0.

The Patriots dominated the first half with 10 shots, four of which on goal compared to the Saints just having three shots with none being on frame.

Cumberlands would not waste time in the second half getting on the scoreboard. The Thomas More goalkeeper made a hard tackle at the edge of the box in the 49' of the game, setting UC up with a penalty kick. Liam Healey stepped to the spot and buried the ball into the right side of the net, scoring his third goal of the season to put UC up 1-0.

Nathan Hart noted the shutout for UC, making three saves, all of which in the second half. The Saints had a free kick opportunity in the 52^nd minute just over 30 yards outside the goal. They sent a shot in from the free kick that was on frame, but Hart made the catch at the top of the net to keep the Saints from scoring. They had another chance ten minutes later from a corner kick that had the ball sent into the box. Hart had to make a point blank save that deflected the ball away from harm's way.

The Patriots were awarded a free kick in the 80^th minute on the right side of the pitch. Healey sent a ball into the box that bounced around and eventually fell to the feet of Luis Jara Encina. He took the ball  to the right side of the goal and then crossed it to a wide open Nemanja Jovanovic who stretched out his left foot in time to put the ball into the net for the 2-0 victory. The goal is the first of the season for Jovanovic.

Over the course of the team's five match win streak UC has outscored opponents, 19-1 with four shutouts.

The Patriots will await their fate for the Mid-South Conference Tournament as other teams finish up their season. UC's social media and website will provide updates about when and who they will play.
