Team and Individual Standings 

Athens, Ala - Behind a career day from Francesco Guarneri, the Patriots men's golf team took fifth place out of ten teams at the Union University Spring Bash on Tuesday. Across three rounds at the Canebreak Golf Club, Cumberlands carded a score of 887 (+23) to finish in the top half of the team leaderboard.
 
After shooting a round two score of 71 (-1), the sophomore from Spain notched a final round score of 67 (-5), his lowest career round. Over 54-holes at the event, Guarneri recorded a score of 215 (-1) to finish sixth overall on the individual leaderboard. Guarneri caught fire during the final round as he notched five birdies overall with four of them coming on the back-nine. With his performance this week, Guarneri has now recorded five top-10 finishes on the season. 
 
Gustav Barden found himself in the top-30 after he shot a three-round score of 224 (+8). The freshman from Sweden got off to a great start at the Union University Spring Bash as he noted a first round score of 72 (E) on day one of the event. Barden holds the only individual win for UC on the season, which came back in September at the East Tennessee Collegiate tournament. 
 
Finishing just two spots behind Barden was Juan Murube. Also a sophomore from Spain, Murube carded a final round score of 75 (+3) to earn a top-30 finish. Across 54-holes at the tournament, Murube tallied a score of 225 (+9) to secure a share of 30^th overall on the individual leaderboard. During round one, Murube shot a 73 (+1), just two strokes behind his career-best round of 71 (E) which came at the Union College Spring Invite, last week. 
 
Braxton Caldwell and Imanol Camba both found themselves near the top-40 spot on the individual leaderboard. Caldwell noted a three-round score of 228 (+12) to finish in a tie for 38^th overall. During his second round on Tuesday, Caldwell shot a score of 73 (+1) to tie the best round of his career. Camba earned a share of 41^st overall after he clubbed a 54-hole score of 229 (+13).
 
Cumberlands will look to bounce back as they battle in the Mid-South Conference Spring Classic on Monday March 12.
