Bowling Green, KY – The University of the Cumberlands Archery team captured their third MSC crown on Saturday afternoon and now the Patriots show off their academic success as 15 student-athletes earn Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference honors, announced by the conference office. UC led the MSC with the most nominees.   

Seniors Aaron Adams, Noah Fields, Miranda Lauria, Michaela McDonald, Sara Sherman, junior Brooke Miller, and sophomores Madison Cox, Elliott Cross, Bradley Faulkner, Hunter Larese, Hannah Moose, Amanda Newland, Kaitlyn Shields, and Whitney Vandiver were the Patriots that earned this distinction.

It marks the third straight year that Fields, Lauria, McDonald, and Sherman have earned this distinction, while Miller has earned this recognition twice.

The Patriots won both the MSC 3D conference championships as well as the MSC indoor conference championship.  UC has also captured the USA Archery 3D national championship. Cumberlands ran away with the outdoor championship to complete the sweep.  Seven Patriots were also named to the MSC all-conference team.

There were 57 student-athletes from across the MSC who were named academic all-conference. To be nominated for this award, each student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and have completed at least one year at a college or university.

The Patriots will return to action Thursday, May 20, when they travel to Richmond, VA for the USA Outdoor Nationals.
